Frequently Asked Questions

What is Wampo?

Wampo is an app that records your dog walks using GPS, letting you review routes, distances, and duration. You can also place markers at interesting spots during walks and check recommended walking times based on weather conditions.

Is location permission required?

Yes, location access is required to record walking routes. Setting the permission to "Always Allow" enables accurate route recording in the background. You can change this in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services.

How do I place markers during a walk?

Drag a marker icon from the icon bar at the bottom of the walk screen and drop it on the map. You can mark restroom stops, favorite spots, or caution areas.

Can I register multiple dogs?

Yes, you can register multiple dog profiles. When starting a walk, you can choose which dog you're walking with.

How does the weather forecast work?

Using data from the Japan Meteorological Agency, the app analyzes precipitation probability, temperature, and wind speed near your location to recommend suitable walking times. Times with poor weather conditions are automatically excluded.

Is my data stored in the cloud?

No. All data is stored exclusively on your device. There is no external server communication or account registration. For more details, see our Privacy Policy.

Can I delete walk history?

Yes, you can delete individual walk records from the walk history screen. You can also delete individual markers from the walk detail screen.
